Using Ara
Terms of Use
Effective July 22, 2026
1. Agreement
By downloading or using Ara, you agree to these Terms of Use and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with Apple’s standard EULA, Apple’s terms control to the extent required.
2. Not medical advice
Ara provides organizational, logging, reminder, and travel-planning features. It is not a medical device, healthcare provider, pharmacy, or emergency service. Always follow the instructions supplied with your medication and advice from a qualified healthcare professional. If a pill is late or missed, contact your healthcare professional or pill provider for guidance appropriate to your medication.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for entering accurate information, reviewing schedules and notifications, maintaining access to your device, and confirming that reminders are enabled and functioning. Device settings, focus modes, connectivity, time-zone changes, system conditions, and notification permissions can affect reminder delivery.
4. Ara Premium
Ara may offer an automatically renewing monthly subscription through Apple. The price shown before purchase is the price charged for your storefront and is confirmed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled through your Apple Account settings. You can manage or cancel the subscription through Apple. Features and availability may evolve over time, subject to applicable law and App Store rules.
5. Acceptable use
You may use Ara for personal, lawful purposes. You may not attempt to interfere with the app, evade purchase controls, reverse engineer Ara except where the law expressly permits it, or use the app in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
6. Availability
We work to keep Ara reliable, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or delivery of every notification. Features may change as Ara and Apple platforms evolve.
7. Privacy
Our handling of information is described in the Ara Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ara is provided “as is” and without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. The developer is not responsible for medical decisions, missed notifications, data loss, or indirect or consequential loss resulting from use of Ara. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as Ara changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
